Hi,

I have a need to connect to a database that I don't want to add to the SQL.INI file in the Sybase ini directory. Is there a way to do this through the dbExpress driver. I know the server name and port number.

A typical entry looks like this:

WIN3_QUERY=WNLWNSCK,servername.xxx.com,38925
QUERY=NLWNSCK,servername.xxx.com,38925

Regards,

Bill

Hi!

No. dbExpress driver uses Open Client and needs the name of the entry (in the SQL.INI file) to establish a connection.
