Hello, Can you help me on the dbexpress database parameters to connect to a remote database? I would like to connect to a remote server via dbexpress Sybase visoco driver. Is there a Hostname or Address property?
What does ENG in the param value mean?
I am currently using the trial version, I would like to know the answers to these questions so We can probably purchase the registered version. Thanks  |

Hi,
No problem.
By example connections string:
"commlinks=TCPIP(HOST=server.name.com);UID=dba;PWD=sql;ENG=asademo9;DBN=asademo"
It works fine.

Hello,
I would also like to know and be sure if the dbexpress driver connects to sybase whatever platform it may be. We would like to connect to a sybase 8 running on a tru64 server. Please advice |
