We are running V1.0.1.9 of the dbexpany.dll driver and are experiencing random Access Violations. Query's that work ok one time will have the access violation a second time.

Please also see Tech Support request.

We didn't implement the trial version into our application due to the large number of queries and operations we issue. We only performed some simple functionality tests with the trial version.

The other problem is that the problem isn't really reproducable in a reliable way. In one example, an Access Violation happens on the same query, but sometimes the query works just fine, other times it causes an error.

I am not sure where to go from here to help you and us out trying to isolate this. However, as I mentioned in the post, this is a critical issue and our application is down at this time.

We can distinguish two types of queries at least:

1. Queries that return the cursor
2. Queries that don't return the cursor (like inserts, updates, etc.)

Could you confirm if the queries of the first type only make troubles?

Probably, an invalid interfaces' handling takes place inside the driver.

From what I recall, all the errors where with queries returning a cursor.

If you can provide me with the source code, I be willing to step through the code and provide you with more details on where the error is happening.

we are also currently experiencing this dbexpany.dll access violation errors in our application using your sybase visoco driver. we experienced this first when using the trial version and thought that it will not come out in the licensed version. as with bernhardz problem, the error is inconsistently appearing in the different parts of our application but we observed that it occurs when we open the tables in sybase (clientdataset.active = true). after the error occurs we are not able to execute a particular option and when we go to another option there is no error. when we go back to the option that has an error the error is not there anymore it worked fine. what can we do about this?
