Hello.
While trying to use 'sybase dbexpress' i'm getting the message 'unable to load CTLIB.DLL'. where should this dll come from? 'open client' is installed correctly, but the dll is not part of it.

thanx,

th.r.

Hi.

> 'unable to load CTLIB.DLL'

Perhaps LIBCT.DLL ?
Please, report versions of dbExpress driver, Sybase Server and Open-Client.

I am also experiencing the same problem, I have version 1.2 of the dBExpress Driver, and v11.5 of both ASE and the Open Client. There is no CTLIB.dll in the open client and LIBCT.DLL (or LIBCS.DLL) will not work.

Any help would be appreciated Question

I have just downloaded and installed v.1.2 of your dbExpress driver for Sybase. Unfortunately, I get the 'cannot load CTLIB.dll' error as well. I am running Sybase SQL Anywhere 5.5 on the DB server and connecting to it with dbclient via tcpip. I am currently running 80 Archibus clients to this database and am looking into C++ to gain some speed benifits on some new 'enhancments' that have been requested.

If you can help me make this thing work I am confident I can get my employer to fork out the $160.00.

Thanks!

You need a Sybase Open-Client with CT-Library installed. Then you can use ASA as an Open-Server. http://www.visoco.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=16
